Where can I leave my car while I'm on the island? 

The Casco Bay Lines Garage, attached to the terminal, is the most convenient parking place for homeowners who use the ferry to travel to and from Portland. The City of Portland is currently providing some parking for islanders in the vicinity of the ferry terminal. There are 3 open air lots, (not garages), that vary in price with distance from the terminal. Other covered parking garages are located nearby. Most owners arrange for monthly (or yearly) parking at one of these garages.
