Can I rent my home when I'm not using it?

Many owners of vacation homes at Diamond Cove choose to rent their units when they’re not in use.  While some homeowners arrange their own rentals, many take advantage of the services offered by Great Diamond Rentals, usually referred to as “the rental program.” Originally operated by Diamond Cove’s developers, the rental program has been a privately owned business since 1999.  Approximately 20% of the completed residences at Diamond Cove are currently enrolled in the program. Some homeowners make their homes available for most of the summer, others for only a week or two.

Great Diamond Rentals provides a number of services to its homeowners including: 1) assistance in preparing the home for rental, 2) discreet but effective advertising, 3) a screening of prospective renters during the reservation process, 4) meeting every rental group at the dock and escorting them to their homes, 5) an informal introductory tour, 6) printed information on the community’s amenities and expectations, 7) all towels and linens for the guests, and 8) arrangements for housekeeping services at the end of each rental.  Finally, the rental service will monitor homes during the off-season, and can make arrangements for repairs, etc.
